Summit Bali 2018

Adjacent to week-long IMF and World Bank annual meetings in Bali, over 500 participants spanning across 20 countries, consisting of blockchain leaders, government ministers, entrepreneurs, and technology experts fl ocked to Bali, Indonesia for XBlockchain Summit to join the conversation, share products and best practices, identify opportunities for collaboration, and address challenges facing the industry.

Attendees included Loreta Maskaliovienė, Vice-Minister of Finance, Republic of Lithuania; Dharmendar Sesungkur, Minister of Financial Services and Good Governance, Republic of Mauritius; David Kao, Head of Singapore, Binance; Meeta Vouk, Director, IBM Singapore Lab; Zac Cheah, CEO of Pundi X; and Stephen Chia, Council Member and Regional Head of SE Asia, NEM.io Foundation, among others.

Held from October 9-10, the two-day Summit highlighted several aspects of blockchain’s future development, such as the accessibility of cryptocurrencies, the blockchain economy, policy frameworks around digital technology, inclusive tech, and blockchain for business and entreprises. Over 50 speakers also delved into creative use cases, especially in the realms of economy, entertainment, gaming, and the environment.
